Liberia National Community Health Program (NCHP) Training Modules
The Liberia National Community Health Program (NCHP) Training Modules is a comprehensive eLearning course designed for Community Health Assistants (CHAs) and frontline health workers across Liberia. The course covers six core competency areas essential for delivering quality community-based primary healthcare services:
- Module 1 - Community Engagement & Empowerment: Equips health workers with skills to mobilize communities, build trust, and promote health-seeking behaviours at the household and community level.
- Module 2 - Disease Surveillance (CEBS): Covers Community Event-Based Surveillance, focusing on prevention, early detection, response, and control of disease outbreaks at the community level.
- Module 3 - Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal & Adolescent Health + Nutrition: Addresses essential care practices for women, newborns, and adolescents, including antenatal care, safe delivery, postnatal care, and nutrition support.
- Module 4 - Child Health and Nutrition: Focuses on growth monitoring, immunization, integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI), and nutritional support for children under five.
- Module 5 - Communicable Diseases (HIV & TB): Provides knowledge and skills for HIV/TB prevention, testing, treatment adherence support, and community-level case finding.
- Module 6 - Non-Communicable & Neglected Tropical Diseases: Builds capacity to identify, refer, and support patients with NCDs and NTDs including hypertension, diabetes, leprosy, and other priority conditions.
